When we arrived at a recent job, we expected the usual signs of rodent activity like droppings, chewed wires and maybe a nest or two. What we didn't expect? A full blown rodent nursery hidden deep inside the insulation.
As we inspected the attic, we discovered several baby rats tucked into the fiberglass insulation. Not only was it a clear sign of a larger infestation, but it also posed serious health risks for the homeowner's health and safety. Rodents, especially in these early stages of life, can multiply quickly and silently and often before anyone even realizes they're there.
We carefully removed the contaminated insulation, making sure to safely and humanely deal with the animals. Once the area was cleared, we sanitized and sealed up the entry points to prevent future visitors.
This is a reminder of why early intervention matters. Rodents don't just sneak snacks, they build families and fast. If you're hearing noises in the walls, spotting droppings or noticing insulation that looks tampered with, don't wait. A small problem can grow, literally, overnight.
